Ryanair has said that September was the sixth month in a row in which it carried more than 7 million passengers.
It said today that its passenger numbers rose by 8% to 7.84 million last month from 7.25 million the same time a year ago.
It had carried a record 8.9 million passengers in August.
However, the airline's load factor - how many seats it fills on each flight - fell by 1% to 85% in September.
The airline has carried a total of 79.07 million passengers so far this year.
