The McEvoy Family Foods company has exited examinership after it received an investment of €420,000 from Glanbia Consumer Foods.
The company is now a subsidiary of Glanbia Consumer Foods, but will continue to trade under its existing name.
Gary and Jane McEvoy will continue to run the business.
McEvoy Family Foods was set up in April 2009 and generated sales of €1.8m last year after securing contracts with SuperValu, Centra and Lidl.
It specialises in the production of soups and garlic breads for supermarkets' own brand produce and it also developing a new range of children's food.
Glanbia said it was investing in the company because it was part of its new chilled food strategy of developing artisan food brands. It also said it recognises the importance of family businesses for the Irish food industry.
''We see significant export potential for high quality foods and are keen to support the passion and commitment that the McEvoys will bring in developing the business,'' commented Glanbia Consumer Foods' chief executive Colin Gordon.
