Conroy Gold and Natural Resources is to undertake metallurgical testwork on the Clontibret gold project in Co Monaghan.
The testwork will be done on drill core samples selected from different locations, comprised of ore grade material with a 10% dilution factor.
The company contracted to undertake the test work, Gold Fields Ltd, will carry out the work in South Africa using an environmentally friendly bacterial oxidation process.
Conroy Chairman, Professor Richard Conroy described the move as ‘a further major step towards bringing a mine into operation in Clontibret’.
