Ireland plans to raise a further €500m on the debt markets this week.
The National Treasury Management Agency said it would auction treasury bills on Thursday.
It will offer three month bills to investors.
It is the second time this year that it will raise short term debt after it tapped the markets for €500m in July.
The development is a further step by National Treasury Management Agency which has been planning a return to the markets as Ireland's bailout funds will run out at the end of next year.
