Boots Ireland to create 30 new jobs in Dublin

Boots Ireland is opening up a new store in Blanchardstown, Dublin next Wednesday with the creation of 30 jobs.

The 1,100 sq ft store will be Boots flagship store.

The 30 new full-time and part-time jobs will bring the total number of staff employed at Boots Blanchardstown to 100.

The new store will replace the two existing Boots Ireland stores within The Blanchardstown Centre.

This is the biggest Boots store opening in the UK and Ireland in 2012.

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has reacted positively.

"The fact that Boots continues to increase its workforce in Dublin shows that the city region continues to be a good place to do business. This is a top European city and we are increasingly competitive, innovative and successful," said Gina Quin, chief executive, Dublin Chamber of Commerce.

Boots has 71 stores in Ireland.
