An announcement of 14 jobs in smart energy Endeco marks the 100th deal by Halo Business Angel Partnership HBAP, and brings to €40.3m the total investment over the last four years.
The partnership says that 500 jobs have been created by funded companies over the past 18 months.
Endeco Technologies is to create 14 jobs having raised €1.6m in funding from sources including business angel investors, AIB Seed Capital and Start Up Accelerator Funds and Enterprise Ireland.
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said that innovative financing mechanisms for start-up and small businesses were a key part of the Government's plan for jobs.
Investment has been very strong in the last 18 months, with €8.5m angel funds invested in 40 deals helping create more than 200 new jobs, with a further 300 jobs to be created by end of 2015
