Accountancy bodies launch SME guide to aid lending

The Business Plan Guide, developed by Ireland's four accountancy bodies has been launched to help businesses secure loans.

The plan aims to help small business access capital by improving the quality and success of their loan applications and is supported by the Irish Banking Federation.

The plan hopes to kick-start economic recovery by improve business lending.

The four accountancy bodies, CCAB-I, are Chartered Accountants Ireland, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and The Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Austin Slattery, Chairman of CCAB-I and President of Chartered Accountants Ireland said that SMEs had suffered more than most in the last five years and availability of credit and access to capital are crucial to the survival and development of business.
