UTV Media has recorded a 3% rise in pre-tax profits during the first half of 2012, with revenues also rising by 4%.
The Belfast-based company, which owns 21 radio stations across Ireland and Britain as well as television and online operations, recorded pre-tax profits of £11.2 million in the first six months of 2012.
Group revenue during the same period was £61.6m, while group operating profit was down slightly to £12.7m.
During the period the company’s TalkSport station secured important broadcasting rights for the Barclays Premier League and FA Cup.
UTV also acquired social media-focused agency Simply Zesty, which is based in Dublin.
