Britain's longest-running children's comic may be facing closure after 75 years in print.
The owner of "The Dandy," first published in 1937, has said it is reviewing all of its magazine titles to meet the "challenges of the rapidly changing publishing industry."
Circulation of the weekly comic, best-known for cartoon character Desperate Dan, has dropped to less than 7,500 in the second half of last year.
At its peak in 1950 it sold some 2 million copies.
Scotland-based DC Thomson said today it has not made a decision on the future of the comic, but that it will ensure all its characters live on in other platforms - hinting that the comic may only be available online in the future.
