Greencore has continued to perform ''well'' in the 13 weeks to the end of June with reported revenues almost 49% higher than the same time last year.

In an interim management statement, Greencore said the business in the third quarter was somewhat impacted by weather and UK Jubilee celebrations.

The food group said its convenience foods division posted revenues of €277.9m in the 13 weeks to June 29, up 51.2% on the previous year.

The company said its legacy business recorded volume led revenue growth of 6.6% and when the purchase of MarketFare is included, this growth rate rose to 12.8%.

Greencore said the continuing former Uniq businesses also performed well with underlying revenue growth of 7.3%. The integration of Uniq continues to progress in line with expectations, it added.

It also said its ingredients business saw revenue growth of 51.% in the 13 week period.

''The group continues to perform well despite the challenging and volatile market conditions. Whilst we do not anticipate any material improvement in the trading environment in the near future, we remain confident in our ability to deliver growth in adjusted earnings per share in line with market expectations,'' the company stated.
