Connemara Mining has said it has recorded positive results for gold from a recent survey of its licences on the Wicklow/Wexford border.
In a statement released today, it said that an "airborne magnetic, electromagnetic and radiometric survey completed by Canadian firm Hendrick Resources on the May 16 produced encouraging results."
It also says a "strong, northeast southwest magnetic high trend located along the west of the Connemara licence block indicates a deep seated structural zone."
It plans a follow-up ground based exploration programme which will be undertaken in the coming months.
Connemara is a diversified exploration company and holds interests in 34 licences covering an area of approximately 1,250 sq km.
