CompuCal Calibration Solutions plans to expand its technical team by 50% over the next two years to 20 people.

The company, which has its headquarters in Cork, announced a strategic investment by its long-term partner Endress+Hauser today.

In a statement it said that over the past year, CompuCal has doubled its workforce to eight.

The expansion of jobs will be mainly concentrated in the Research & Development division.

It says with "further growth and investment, the potential exists for more jobs to come on stream."

CompuCal provides calibration solutions to its multi-national regulated customers in the pharmaceutical, medical device and oil & gas sectors.

Their current turnover is in the region of €0.5m.

Through its strategic partnership with Endress+Hauser, CompuCal expects to meet export sales targets of €5m over the next 5 years.

“CompuCal is proof that Ireland is still an ideal location for foreign companies to invest in,” said managing director Jackie Dornan.

Endress+Hauser has around 9,500 employees and in 2011 the Group generated worldwide net sales of €1.5 billion.
