The National Competitiveness Council has said research suggests that the Irish economy has stabilised - but it warned against complacency.
In its annual benchmarking report, to be published today, the Council said the economy had made gains in international competitiveness recently.
However, the Council's chairman, Dr Don Thornhill recommended a relentless and thorough focus on reform, including structural changes agreed under the terms of the rescue programme agreed with the Troika.
