Ireland will win one gold medal and four medals at the upcoming London Olympics according to analysis conducted by investment bank Goldman Sachs.
Looking at a range of economic data and analysing performance at previous Olympics, Goldman has produced a forecast medal table for 2012.
Ireland's predicted four medal haul would be just one more than at the 2008 games in Beijing.
Goldman ranks Ireland 46th in the medal table. It predicts the US will be the biggest winner with 108 medals overall followed by China with 98 medals - two less than at its home Olympics four years ago.
