Guidewire to set up new consulting centre in Dublin

Guidewire Software, which provides core system software for the insurance industry, is to establish a new consulting centre in Dublin.

Guidewire already employs 25 people in Blanchardstown and it is recruiting more for its new centre. The move in supported by IDA Ireland.

The company said the Dublin centre was established to help meet a growing global customer demand for expertise in implementing Guidewire’s products.

The likes of Aviva, Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance and Zurich are among its European customers.

'Guidewire is a dynamic and fast-growing software company, and today's announcement that it is locating a consulting centre in Dublin with the creation of additional jobs is good news,'' commented the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton.

''Companies in the ICT sector continue to take advantage of Ireland’s competitive opportunities and knowledge-based economy and today’s announcement follows on from a number of significant announcements in recent months from companies in this sector,'' said IDA Ireland's chief executive Barry O'Leary.
