Travel software firm Datalex has named Aidan Brogan as its interim chief executive after the resignation of Cormac Whelan from the post.

Mr Brogan is currently senior vice president of sales and joined the company in 1994.

Before he joined the company, he held a number of positions with Westinghouse in its airline and travel business in the Middle East.

In a statement, the company said that Mr Whelan is leaving the CEO post by mutual and amicable agreement and will stay on until the end of July to assist the company in the transition. He has been CEO of Datalex since 2004.
