Wallace second largest settlement on revenue's latest list of defaulters

The Revenue commissioners has published the tax defaulter's list for the first three months of the year.

The list includes 129 taxpayers making settlements or declarations of €29.6m.

The company of Wexford TD, Mick Wallace is included on the list for under-declaration of VAT, which, including interest and penalties totals €2,133,708.

M.J. Wallace Ltd. is the second largest settlement listed.

The largest settlement is O'Shea fishing of Fintra Road, Killybegs Co. Donegal, which following an offshore assets investigation case, resulted in a settlement of €3,390,304 for the underdeclaration of corporation tax and PAYE/PRSI.

The third largest settlement is €1,895,667 m and involves Dr. Ahmed Hussain of Carrickane, Cavan, Co. Cavan a consultant gynaecologist for the under-declaration of income tax.

Joe McNamara, 41, also known as the Anglo Avenger is also on the tax defaulter's list published today.

Listed as Joseph McNamara, partner in property development company of 14 Dún na Carraige, Salthill, Galway made a settlement of €10,000 with the revenue commissioners for failure to lodge income tax returns.
