Oil exploration company Fastnet has been admitted this morning to the Enterprise Securities Market of the Irish Stock Exchange.
The company is also listing on the AIM market in London.
Its recent share placing has raised almost €12.5m, which values the company at €25m.
Fastnet has interests in Ireland and is also looking at opportunities in Africa.
It has appointed Dr Stephen Staley, a non-executive director of Cove Energy, as chief executive and Cathal Friel, a co-founder of corporate advisors Raglan Capital, as non-executive chairman.
The admission of Fastnet to the ISE brings the number of companies quoted on the ESM market to 23.
“The euro quotation offered by the Irish Stock Exchange enables the company to attract euro-based private and institutional investors from Ireland and overseas,'' commented CEO Stephen Staley.
''The euro quotation is particularly attractive to Irish investors, who have always had an interest in oil and gas exploration stocks,” he added.
