Four IDA firms to create 100 jobs

Four companies are creating 100 new jobs between them while another two firms are establishing their European and EMEA headquarters in Ireland.

All of the developments are supported by IDA Ireland.

30 jobs will be created in Cork by Red 5 studios, an online games developer, as it sets up its European headquarters in Cork.

Aasonn, a global human capital management firm and technology services company, plans to open its European headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 30 jobs.

A further 25 new jobs will be created in Dublin as Van Tibolli Beauty Corporation, a provider of hair products, sets up its EU headquarters here.

And Qualvu Inc, which provides web-based qualitative research, is to create 15 new jobs as it establishes its EMEA headquarters in Dublin.

Infobright - a Torontoa-based analytics company - is to locate its EMEA headquarters in Dublin and Md7, which is an operations and financial services company, is to set up its European headquarters in the city.

''Central to this Government's plan for jobs and growth is developing and deepening the impact of multinational companies here. We must attract more companies, we must ensure that they locate higher-value activities here, we must ensure that they have a greater impact on the economy,'' commented the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton.

''Targeting high-growth emerging companies is a key part of this, as these companies will establish deep roots here from early in their growth, and ultimately have a substantial impact on our economy,'' he added.

''The importance of companies internationalising at an early stage has never been greater and Ireland provides a great environment in which to do this,'' commented IDA Ireland's chief executive Barry O'Leary.

''Ireland is home to key foreign direct Investment players across a range of sectors, and the availability of a highly skilled dynamic workforce, make it a preferred choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans,'' he added.
