BT Ireland has reported increased profits, up 9% on profit before interest and tax on revenue of £757m.
Revenue was up marginally, 1%, for the full year to 31st March 2012.
The company says that investment in communications infrastructure and strong demand for network and IT services, helped to boost its performance.
BT Ireland Chief Executive Colm O'Neill said that this was the company's third year of double digit growth in the provision of IT services, including cloud computing and more.
He said the company was the second largest IT services company and fixed line provider in the country. The company's revenue is split 50/50 between the North and the Republic, with joint investment with the Northern Irish Executive in fibre broadband an approach that could, and should be adopted here, BT Ireland's chief executive said.
