A German multi-national software firm is to expand its operations in Ireland with the creation of a further 250 jobs in Dublin and Galway.
SAP is investing €110m in the IDA Ireland supported initiative. It opened its first facility in Ireland in 1997 and employs 1,200 people here.
Two thirds of the workforce are in Dublin's Citywest, where another 150 jobs will be created in sales and services.
100 new positions are being advertised in Galway for the firm's newly created Cloud Services and Support Centre.
Managing Director at SAP Ireland, Liam Ryan said the investment is about gearing up for the next wave of technology innovation, especially in the areas of cloud computing, mobile applications and database technology.
SAP is the largest software company in Europe and the third largest in the world.
Meanwhile, hearing aid retailer Bonavox has announced a recruitment drive to add 15 people to its workforce over the next 12 months.
The company said the expansion plan will see the opening of two new locations in Dublin. Its employee numbers will rise to 26.
The company has been in business for over 45 years and is based in North Earl Street in the city centre.
It provides advice and treatment for hearing loss, tinnitus, earwax removal, ear-moulds fittings, and rapid hearing aid repairs.
Separately, a casino and private members' club is due to open in Swords in Co Dublin this month and is promising 50 new jobs.
