RTÉ has announced it is to close its London office as part of a plan to cut costs by up to €25m by the end of 2013.
The national broadcaster plans to save €15m in personnel-related costs, and has announced a further staff voluntary severance scheme.
There will be significant cuts in programme budgets in sport and acquisitions, as well as savings in regional operating costs.
The fees for its top 20 earners will be cut by a minimum of 30% by the end of 2013 compared with 2008 figures.
