The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said Ireland can look with confidence to some announcements in the near future that will bring investments from Chinese firms.
Minister Richard Bruton said IDA Ireland had met with 16 Chnese companies in the course of this week's visit.
Mr Bruton said the trade mission to China had been a remarkably successful venture and that Enterprise Ireland clients had written €35m in new contracts during the week.
The Minister was speaking in Beijing at the end of his six day visit to China.
Earlier, the Taoiseach and Mr Bruton earlier held talks with the chairman of China's National Peopls Congress Wu Bangguo.
After that meeting, Ireland and China released a joint statement confiming the establishment of a strategic partnership agreement to formalise cooperation between the two countries.
IDA Ireland also said today that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China’s ICBC Financial Leasing, a global leader in aircraft leasing and part of ICBC, the world’s largest bank.
ICBC has been instrumental in assisting a large number of Chinese companies to expand overseas in recent years and has an unrivalled client base.
ICBC is the world's largest bank, with 397,339 employees and $1.9 trillion of assets. It operates a major portfolio of businesses, including asset management, retail banking, corporate banking, leasing and private equity.
