The Taoiseach Enda Kenny rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange today in the latest leg of his US tour. He was attending a special investment conference hosted by the New York Stock Exchange.
There was a significant contingent of businessmen and businesswomen from Ireland - as well as a decent sprinkling of American corporate executives - at the event.
The conference was about networking and meeting others who have invested in Ireland. Some of the executives said they found the event useful and would follow up with job offers and further contacts.
The keynote speaker was the Taoiseach Enda Kenny, who reiterated that Ireland was ready and eager to accept US investment.
