WaveBreak Media, a company based at Cork IT which produces visual content, has raised €400,000.
Kernel Capital, through the Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund, has provided €250,000, with the remainder coming from Enterprise Ireland.
WaveBreak specialises in the production of still images, video footage and 3D animations.
Founded in 2006 by Sean Prior, WaveBreak now employs 20 people at its offices in the CIT campus. It will use the investment to increase its catalogue of content and to take on another 10 staff over the next 12-18 months.
