Boxal makes aluminum containers, and supplies aerosols and bottles to a wide variety of industries including cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and drinks.
It has manufacturing plants located mainly in France and the Netherlands.
Ardagh Group CEO Niall Wall said the Boxal deal would help the group to further diversify into the aluminum can market.
Ardagh Group produces metal and glass packaging for many of the world's leading food, drink and consumer product brands. It operates 88 manufacturing plants in 25 countries, employs 14,000 people and has annual global sales of more than €3.2 billion.
