Commercial rates in Dublin will be reduced next year. Dublin City councillors agreed a 1.7% reduction at the annual budget meeting last night.
€60m is to be saved by privatising bin collections and capital spending is to be halved.
Dublin Chamber of Commerce says it is now up to other local authorities to follow the lead of Dublin City Council. Aebhric McGibney, from Dublin Chamber, says a rate reduction across the capital is needed.
