Media group UTV says its revenues for the ten months to the end of October rose by 2% compared to the same time last year.
In an interim management statement, UTV said that revenues at its Radio Ireland division fell by 4% compared to last year. It said the outlook was still a ''significant outperformance'' of the Irish radio market and added that it expects that November and December will be flat compared to last year.
UTV owns Dublin's FM104 and Q102, Cork's 96FM and C013, Limerick's Live 95FM and LMFM in the Louth-Meath area.
Revenue in its Radio GB unit grew by 5%, while the UK radio market fell by 2% in the same period. UTV predicted that revenue for the last two months of the year will be 9% above levels the same time last year.
UTV said its television revenues rose by 1%, in line with the ITV network. It said it expected the division will suffer a revenue decline of 7% during November and December, however. Revenues at its new media division rose by 1%.
''The economic environment continues to bring uncertainty and volatility to the airline market with visibility remaining very limited,' the company stated.
''In the last two months of the year, the decline in television advertising revenue is likely to be mitigated by the increase in advertising revenue from radio GB,'' it added.
