Aer Lingus has reported a 2.9% rise in passenger numbers in September. The airline said its numbers rose to 954,000 from 927,000 the same time last year.
The number of short-haul passengers rose by 2.5% to 862,000 while long haul booked passengers increased by 7% to 92,000.
Aer Lingus also said that its passengers on its regional routes were 71,000, an increase of 44.9%.
The airline said that its booked load factor - how many seats it fills on each flight - increased by 2.9 points to 83.9%. The short haul booked load factor was 82.5%, up 1.9 points on the same time last year. Its long haul booked load factor also rose, gaining 5.2 points to 87%.
