Revenue recovered over €113m from audits and investigations between April and June, according to the latest list of figures published today.

€26.25m was secured from 114 tax settlements with the Revenue. Of those, three exceeded €1m, 11 topped €500,000 and 68 were for amounts in excess of €100,000. Those figures included interest and penalties.

The largest individual Revenue settlement involved property development company Eassda Ireland of Antrim Road, Templepatrick. It settled for almost €3,64m for underdeclaration of relevant contracts tax.

One of the largest settlements was by horse breeding company Whisperview Trading Limited of Carriganog, Owning Hill, Pilltown, Co Kilkenny. It is owned by racehorse trainer Aidan O'Brien and Anne Marie O'Brien. The company made a settlement of just over €526,000 of which almost €350,000 comprised interest and penalties.

One settlement of just over €300,000 related to bogus non-resident account holders. 22 settlements totalling €5m were linked to Revenue investigations into offshore funds. 10 settlements totalling just over €2m relate to Revenue's single premium insurance products investigation.
