Mining company Kenmare Resources says it has achieved what is known as "technical completion" at its Moma titanium minerals mine in Mozambique.
Technical completion is a requirement of the financing documents associated with the loans Kenmare received to fund the Moma project.
These loans are guaranteed by Kenmare, but the company will be released from the guarantees when both technical and non-technical completion are achieved.
The key remaining step to achieve non-technical completion involves the filling of specified reserve accounts to the required levels, which must occur by the end of 2013.
