Flights on routes between Dublin and four regional airports will cease from today following the withdrawal of Government subsidies.
Aer Arann flights between Dublin and Galway, Sligo, Knock and Derry airports will finish today.
The airline says it has ended the services because they are no longer commercially viable without the Government subsidies.
The previous Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey, announced in January that Public Service Obligation (PSO) contracts would end in July.
The Government will continue funding the routes between Dublin and Kerry, and Dublin and Donegal.
A spokesperson for Aer Arann said the subsidised routes did not form a critical part of its business model, adding that it was a regional airline committed to serving the regions.
Although the routes between Dublin and the four airports have ended, Aer Arann is continuing to operate all of its other routes.
