Dublin-based technology company CampusIT has raised €1.2m from private investors and Enterprise Ireland to fund an international expansion drive. The company will also hire 14 new staff at its Dublin head office over the next two years.
The investment has come from a number of sources, including the BDO-managed Davy BES fund and Enterprise Ireland.
The money is aimed at helping the firm to develop and launch its CampusIT Interact product, a web-based platform targeted at universities and colleges.
CampusIT has been growing strongly over the last two years, and is expecting its sales revenue to rise from €3.5m in 2010 to €5m by 2013.
Meanwhile, Cork-based data storage company MPSTOR has raised €700,000 in an investment led by the Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital fund.
The company is involved in markets such as cloud computing, video, healthcare and high performance computing. More than 1,000 licences of its recently launched MPStackware software have been bought.
The company's management and Enterprise Ireland are also taking part in the investment
