A €1.2m investment by cloud computing expert PFH Technology Group is to create 20 jobs over the next three years.

The company is to establish its Technology Experience Centre in Sandyford to enable large corporate, government, health and education organisations to trial next generation technologies from the world's leading providers.

PFH, which is Ireland's largest independent information and communication technology group, says that such new technologies can drive massive cost savings for businesses and organisations. This will be the first centre of its kind in Ireland that allows companies to use new technologies directly, it says.

'Cloud Computing is more than just the latest buzzword - it is a real and proven way of significantly reducing your cost base by managing your technology needs in a more effective manner,' said PFH chief executive Paul Hourican.

'The Experience centre provides experiential learning for the current generation of business leaders to see for themselves the practical benefits and applications of a range of new technologies which can help transform how their organisations are run and help them plan their journey into the cloud.'
