Communications company Three has announced plans to create 50 jobs to support its continuing growth and investment. The company already employs 400 people here.

The new jobs are in finance, product development and retail sales. They will be located in its retail stores nationwide as well as its head office. Three has 38 stores around the country.

The company recently announced the successful completion of Ireland's National Broadband Scheme and the launch of its data price plans for smartphone users. 60% of phones sold in Ireland on the Three network are now smartphones.

'These new roles enhance our ability to manage the huge consumer demand for smartphones', commented Three's chief executive Robert Finnegan.
