Online games company ZeniMax is to set up a customer support centre in Galway, in a move which IDA Ireland says is expected to create hundreds of jobs over the next few years.

The new facility will provide customer support for players of the company's online role-playing games.

'Galway has world-class educational facilities, is a beautiful place to work and live, and offers a wide variety of benefits for our employees,' said Matt Firor, the president of ZeniMax Online Studios .

Enterprise, Jobs & Innovation Minister Richard Bruton said ZeniMax was a 'very important addition' to the games industry in Ireland. IDA Ireland is backing the investment.
