A receiver has been appointed to Guardian Healthcare Ltd, which runs four residential care homes in Louth, Kildare, Meath and Dublin. The company said, however, that it would continue to trade as normal.
It said residents in the four homes would not be affected and there would be no interruption to service at any of the homes.
Kieran Wallace of KPMG has been appointed as receiver. The company said its workers would continue to be employed and it would continue trading under the existing management.
'The receiver is confident of maintaining the same level of care and that the process of receivership will enable the company to continue to trade successfully,' a statement said.
