Food group Greencore has appointed Alan Williams as chief financial officer, with effect from March 7. He will also join the Greencore board.
Mr Williams has held a number of financial and management roles during his career including senior positions within the Cadbury Group over 18 years. His most recent role was global corporate finance director.
He will take over from Imelda Hurley, who has been the acting chief financial officer since the departure of Geoff Doherty at the end of last year. Ms Hurley will now be group finance director.
Greencore CEO Patrick Coveney said Mr Williams had extensive experience in the food and drink sector at Cadbury and 'an extraordinary range' of financial expertise.
