Superquinn has announced that Andrew Street will become its new chief executive on December 2. He will replace Simon Burke, who will become the company's non-executive chairman.
Mr Street has worked in the retail sector for over 25 years and was most recently at Dunnes Stores, where he was chief operating officer for the past 12 years.
The current CEO Simon Burke will now become non-executive chairman of the company and relinquish responsibility for the day-to-day management of Superquinn. He has led the company since its purchase by Select Retail Holdings in 2005.
Superquinn operates 24 stores nationwide. The company recently opened its newest store at Heuston South Quarter in Dublin, creating almost 60 jobs.
