Official figures show that 1,222 days were lost to industrial disputes in the third quarter of this year, a sharp drop from 66,826 in the same period last year.
The Central Statistics Office said there were four disputes in progress in the third quarter involving 156 workers and four firms. There were 13 disputes running in the same period last year.
For the first nine months of the year, 6,575 days were lost, down from 81,442 in the same period a year earlier.
