Financial software group Norkom has reported an 8% fall in revenue for the six months to the end of September. Revenues declined to €22.6m from €24.6m after what the company called a very challenging period.

Half yearly pre-tax profits fell to €252,000 from €3.178m and adjusted earnings fell to 1.60 cents from 4.22 cents.

Norkom said it experienced difficult trading conditions in the first half of the year, however it said there was evidence of an increase in buying activity in some regions. It added that its overall sales pipeline volume and activity is higher than in the first half of the previous year.

During the six month period, the group secured five new clients, including Fifth Third Bank, Lombard International Assurance and RHB Bank.
