French cosmetics and clothing company Yves Rocher has announced plans to upgrade its Cork manufacturing facility, which is located in the Kilbarry Business Park.

The company says the €3.7m investment is expected to create up to 30 jobs during the building and installation of the new facilities.

Yves Rocher came to Cork in 1981 and set up its current facility, which now employs 270 people, in 1984. It says the Cork site will export 66 million units of skin care products this year, growing to 88 million by 2015.

'With the investment announced today, the Cork facility will remain the main producer for strategic Yves Rocher's brands such as Riche Crème Pure Calmille, Arnica and the newly launched Serum Vegetale,' said Jacques Rocher, president of the Yves Rocher Foundation.
