AIB has announced the resignation of two directors. Robert Wilmers' resignation takes effect immediately, while consultant Kieran Crowley has told the board he intends to resign on October 13.
Mr Wilmers is chairman and chief executive of US bank M&T. AIB is currently in the process of trying to sell its stake in the bank.
Last week, it was announced that the bank's executive chairman Dan O'Connor would leave in the coming weeks, while managing director Colm Doherty would go before the end of the year. The news came as the Central Bank announced that AIB would need €3 billion more in capital to meet targets set out by the regulator.
