A Galway-based company has won a key award in the the Electronic toy category at the Practical pre-school awards in the UK today.
BB, the world's first Irish speaking teddybear from Irish firm Bábógbaby, won the gold award.
'For a UK organisation to recognise the quality and practicality of our Irish version of BB is just fantastic. It opens it up now to such a larger market. There is so much potential for an English speaking version of the bear,' commented the bear's inventor Adrian Devane.
Bábógbaby was established earlier this year to provide tools and toys for toddlers, children and parents to learn Irish. It plans to release a range of Irish speaking products over the next year.
