Zurich Life has said its Irish new business sales grew by 12% from the same period last year to €106.5m.
Within this, pensions sales were up 10% to €86.6m, while life business gained 23% to €20m.
Single premium pensions business rose by 64% to €510.5m, with Zurich reporting strong demand for Personal Retirement Savings Accounts (PRSAs) and Approved Retirement Funds (ARFs).
New PRSA business rose by 24% to €12.8m, while single premium PRSAs more than doubled to €70.4m.
Zurich set up a European manufacturing hub in Ireland in 2009. It said this was bringing 'significant' cross-border new business sales growth. Total cross-border new business sales were €45.7m in the six months, compared with €1.9m last year.
