Former Anglo Irish Bank chairman Seán FitzPatrick was at the High Court today as bankruptcy proceedings continue against him.

Anglo Irish Bank, to which Mr FitzPatrick owes €110m, is seeking to have a trustee of bankruptcy appointed to the case.

The trustee would replace an official assignee appointed by the High Court two weeks ago to take control of Mr FitzPatrick's assets and debts.

Mr FitzPatrick was legally obliged to appear in court today. The case had been adjourned until September 22.
