Irish energy technology company SolarPrint is planning to create 80 new jobs in Dublin.
The announcement was made at the opening of its new headquarters in Dublin by Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe.
SolarPrint specialises in developing dye sensitised solar cell (DSSC) technology, used to convert light into energy. It plans to open its first manufacturing line next year in Dublin. It currently employs 20 people.
The new jobs will be for people with qualifications in chemistry, electrical engineering, physics and material sciences.
Meanwhile, fashion retailer Penneys has opened its new store in Killarney, Co Kerry, creating 89 new jobs in addition to 26 employees who will transfer from its old store in the town.
