A US company which provides an online marketplace for manufacturing companies is to create 50 new jobs over the next two years in Drogheda, Co Louth.
MFG.com provides a market which enables manufacturing companies to buy components and services online from suppliers.
The company, founded in 2000, announced today that it was setting up an EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) operations centre in Drogheda. IDA Ireland is supporting the investment.
MFG.com's general manager for Europe, Stefan Bachmann, said Drogheda was chosen because of its flexible, highly qualified workforce and the increasingly competitive, pro-business environment in Ireland.
Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe made the announcement, describing it as ;strategically important' for the north-east region.
