Ryanair has said it will set up its next maintenance hangar and crew training facility in Germany. The company says 200 new jobs will be created by the move.

The airline said it had selected Frankfurt Hahn Airport as the location for the facilities.

The €25m investment will include a new two-bay aircraft maintenance hangar, as well as a cabin crew training centre.

Referring to the controversy over Hangar 6 at Dublin airport earlier this year, Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary said that while the airline was pleased to announce the new investment, he regretted that the Irish Government 'stood idly by and did nothing to win these new jobs'.
