Irish pension funds returned 5.8% in March, the latest figures from Rubicon Investment Consulting show.
Irish Life Investment Managers had the highest returns, at 6.5%. The average returns for the first three months of the year were 5.9%.
All of the managed funds surveyed delivered double-digit growth over the past 12 months, according to the index. The average returned was 36%, ranging from 42.9% from Irish Life Investment Managers to 29.8% from AIB Investment Managers.
Over the past three years, the average managed fund return has been -6.9% per year.
